Abstract

Hypertension is a common health problem in almost all the world. Family support, knowledge, and attitude is a factor that can not be ignored, because family support is one of the factors that have contributed significant and as reinforcing factors affecting patient compliance (Tumenggung, 2013). This study aims to determine the relationship between family support, knowledge, and attitudes of patients about hypertension with diet adherence of hypertensive patients in the Outpatient Unit PHC Kaliwates Jember. This research used analytic survey with cross sectional approach. This study was carried out on 3 to 23 August 2015 by home visite Retrieving data through interviews using a questionnaire to 130 respondents. Based on bivariate analysis were tested subset of the statistics which Spearman Rank Correlation, test on family support relationship with diet adherence values obtained ρ 0,000 (<0.05) which indicates there is a significant correlation between the two variables. In the test the knowledge rapport with diet adherence ρ values obtained 0.127 (> 0.05), which indicates there is no significant correlation between the two variables. In the test diet adherence relationship with the attitude that the value ρ 0.502 (> 0.05), which indicates there is no significant correlation between the two variables
