Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of adding mung bean sprout (Vigna Radiata L.) waste flour to feed on the macroscopic quality of Bangkok chicken semen. The materials used included Bangkok chickens, mung bean sprout waste flour, CP 155b, semen collection tubes, a pH meter, a spatula, a beaker, a dropper, and an ice cooler. The experimental design used was a one-way Randomized Block Design (RBD). This study employed 3 treatments: P0 (0%), P1 (5%), and P2 (10%) mung bean sprout waste flour, with 6 replicates for each treatment. Three comparison groups were evaluated each week. The parameters observed were color, odor, volume, consistency, and pH. The macroscopic test data were analyzed using a one-way analysis of variance, and if significant differences in means were found, they were further tested using the (BNJ) test. The results of the study showed that the addition of mung bean sprout waste flour to the feed ration had no significant effect on the macroscopic quality of Bangkok chicken semen.
