Abstract

Efektivitas Media Tanam Dan Lama Perendaman Setek Dengan Air Kelapa Terhadap Pertumbuhan Setek Lada ( Piper nigrum L.). Effectiveness of Growth Media And Cuttings Soaking With Coconut Water on Growth pepper cuttings (Piper nigrum L.). Advisor: Ir. Moch. Bintoro, MP. and Ir. Sri Rahayu, MP. Bimo Jaka Swara Seed Production Technology Study Program, Agricultural Production Departement ABSTRACT Effectiveness of Growth Media And cuttings soaking time With Coconut Water on Growth of pepper cuttings (Piper nigrum L.), this research was conducted in Angsanah Village, Mumbulsari, -Jember ± 27 Km. Angsanah village located on 85 meters altitude above sea level. This research held during 4 months, starting from September to December 2014, by using completely randomized block design (RAK) factorial consist two factors. The first factor is the usage of growth media which consists of three levels, those are M1: Soil + Manure (7: 3), M2: Soil + Manure + Charcoal Husk (7: 3: 2), M3: Soil + Manure + saw powder (7: 3: 2). Second factor is soaking time of pepper cuttings with coconut water which consists of three levels. Namely P1: 100% young coconut water for 1 hour, P2: 100% young coconut water for 2 hours, P3: 100% young coconut water for 3 hours. Result of this research processed by used Analysis Of Variance (ANOVA). In case, if any differences continued by used DMRT (Duncan's Multiple Range Test) with 5% error level. The results showed that growth media treatment affect on the percentage of sprout, growth speed, growth simultaneity, height of cutting’s seedling and root length used the best treatment is M3 (Soil + Manure + saw powder). Soaking treatment with coconut water affect observation parameters growth speed, simultaneity growing, height of curtting’s seedling usede the best treatment P2 (Coconut water soaking for 2 hours). While, the interaction between media and soaking of coconut water affects on the observation parameters and the high percentage of sprout cuttings used best treatment is M3P2 (Soil + Manure + saw powder and soaking 100% young coconut water for 2 hours).
