Abstract

Cucumber is a horticultural plant that is in great demand because it has many benefits. This study aims to determine the response of growth and production of cucumber plants (Cucumis sativus L) to the application of TSP fertilizer and MKP foliar fertilizer. This research was carried out from March 2021 to May 2021 at the experimental field of PT. Benih Citra Asia, Wirowongso, Jember, East Java. Using a factorial Randomized Block Design (RAK) with 3 replications. The first factor is TSP (10, 15, 20 g/plant) and the second factor is MKP foliar fertilizer (1, 3, 5 g/Liter). Data were analyzed using Analysis of Variance (ANOVA) levels of 5% and 1%, further tested with Duncan‟s Multiple Range Test (DMRT) at 5% level. The results of the study that TSP fertilizer had a very significant effect on plant height with the highest average of 80.36 cm, the number of fruits with the highest average of 5.38 pieces, fruit diameter with the highest average of 4.98 cm, the number of seeds with the highest average of 143.75 grains, seed weight with the highest average of 1.10 g, weight of 1000 grains with the highest average of 1.88 g, and germination with the highest average of 89.76%. The treatment of giving MKP foliar fertilizer gave a very significant different effect on the parameters the number of fruits with the highest average of 5.27 pieces, fruit diameter with the highest average of 5.03 cm, seed weight with the highest average of 1.14 g, weight of 1000 grains with the highest average of 1.84 g, and germination with the highest average of 83.11%. And there is an interaction on the parameter plant height with the highest average of 80.87cm, fruit diameter with the highest average of 5.07 cm, weight of 1000 grains with the highest average of 20.2 gr.
