Abstract

Designing a Tourism Guidebook of Baluran National Park (Bama Beach) was the title of writer’s final project. This project had been done by conducting some data collecting methods in form of interview, observation, and documentation dealing with Bama Beach since this beach was the writer’s focus in designing a tourism guidebook. Moreover, that data collecting methods were conducted in Baluran National Park with helps from staffs of Baluran National Park Association. When conducting data collecting methods, the writer found out that the previous guidebook designed by Baluran National Park Association did not give the information in English. Furthermore, it provided more information than pictures. For example, Bama Beach was just designed by using one picture without interesting background. Based on those reasons, the writer designed a tourism guidebook, which gave more interesting pictures and more detailed information by using two languages that will ease the tourists while visiting Baluran National Park. Then in designing the guidebook, the writer adopted the steps proposed by Aprilia (2009) as cited in Setianingrum et al. (2015). As the result of final project, the guidebook was printed in 15 x 21 cm size that made it interesting and easy to keep. Adobe Photoshop CS3 was software that the writer used in designing layout for guidebook. However, because the writer was not used to use that software, the writer also asked the editor to assist the writer in designing layout for guidebook. Lastly, the writer hoped that the guidebook would be useful for Association of Baluran National Park.
