Abstract

The purpose of this research is to know the difference of duck’s eggs quality with wet and dry confined maintenance in Rowokangkung, Lumajang Regioncy. The place is chosen by awareness in which the researcher suggests that the place is strategic as the area to be observed of. The research of the eggs quality is observed in Laboratory of Livestock Production. The data analysis used in this research is t exam.There rae 200 sample of the eggs which are taken from ten breeder, they are five breeders with wet confined maintenance and the rest are with dry confined maintenance. The researcher took five eggs from each breeder and did four times researches to one day egg. The parameter which is accounted in this research are the weight of the egg, the color of the yolk, the white egg index, the yolk index and the Hough Unit (HU). The observation result show that the weight of each egg significantly different 5%, the yolks index is 5% different, the color of the yolk in dry confined maintenance is about 2 to 8 while the index in the wet confined maintenance is about 2 to 11 based on the result of descriptive statistic observation, mean while the index of the white egg and the Hough Unit are not significance. On the other hand, the average of the eggs in wet confined maintenance is higher than the eggs in dry confined maintenance. Hence, it can be concluded that this research shows the eggs with wet confined maintenance will produce a better egg quality compared to eggs in dry confined maintenance.
