Abstract
The aim of this research was to change antibiotic with probiotic and herbal plants as feed addictive in the diet to increase performance. Once starbio as probiotic with curcuma, gingger and tamarind from herbal plants. The experiment was conducted using the Completely Randomized Design (CRD) with 6 treatments was contained T0 as control, T1 (starbio 5%),T2 (curcuma 5%), T3 (gingger 5%), T4 (tamarind 5%) and combination all of contains T5 (starbio2%+curcuma1%+gingger1%+tamarind1%), 4 replications, there was 24 experimental units. The experimental units such as of 8 native chickens, which was 15 up to 56 days old. an experiment was conducted at Technical Service Unit of Animal Production State Polithecnic of Jember. The results showed feed consumption and feed conversion ratio not significant (P>0,05), significant on body weight (P<0,05) of bird. The conclusion showed lowest feed consumption on T4 (2.555,66 gr/bird) and highest on T3 (2.854,95 gr/bird). lowest body weight gain on T2 (861,0 gr/bird) and highest on T4 (989,4 gr/bird). Lowest feed convertion on T4 also T5 (2,6) and highest on T3 (3,2).
