Abstract

Comfort in riding a motorcycle has become a demand for its riders .Vibration can rise as the result of road surface. To decrease it, a motorcycle is equipped with a shockbreaker. The aim of this research is to analyse the vibration characteristic of standard and variations 110cc Honda Vario motorcycle shockbreakers, namely, Yss, Showa, and Yoko. The researcher did this research by creating a model of shockbreaker vibration tester. Its principle is to simulate the vibration system of 110 cc Vario honda motorcycle, then the results were applied to Janeway criteria to examine their comfort. The results showed that standard shockbreaker had the lowest amplitude, namely, 0.65 inc, while Yoko had 0.76 inc, Showa had 1,17 inc, andYss had 1,13 inc. This research was done at State Polytechnic of Jember on September 2015 up to December 2015.
