Abstract

Braille booklet is a medium for delivering messages in the form of books containing no more than 30 pages that read braille. The purpose of this study was to develop a booklet braille as a learning media for iron nutrition anemia in blind teenage girl in SLB-A TPA Bintoro Jember. This type of research uses Research and Development research procedures, using the ADDIE model (Analyze, Design, Development, Implementation, Evaluation). The research subjects were teenage girl students and validators (material experts, linguists and media experts). Data analysis in this study is descriptive qualitative and quantitative descriptive using the Likert scale as its development. The conclusion in this study is the need proposed by teenage girl students, which is related to learning media with an attractive appearance for the blind who are presented in the development of braille booklet products. Preparation of booklet braille prototypes in accordance with the reference consideration of the results of the needs analysis. The results of the material validation test increased by 8% with the results of the final assessment percentage 78% categorized well with the statement Media Learning braille booklet Worthy to use. Language validation test results have increased with the results of the final assessment percentage of 92% categorized very well with the statement Learning Media braille booklet Worthy to use. The media validation test results have increased with the final assessment results of 100% categorized very well with the statement of Learning Media Braille booklet Worthy to use. The trials carried out using Focus Group Discussion (FGD) data collection techniques produced a percentage of 82.67%. The measure the level of knowledge of iron nutrition anemia using the braille booklet the pre test and post test increased from 52% to 86%, namely an increase in knowledge by 28%. Based on the guidelines for the conversion of quantitative data to qualitative knowledge of students from sufficient categories to be very good, with the statement of the educational media the braille booklet is feasible to use.
