Abstract

Posyandu is one of the health efforts of community resources that are managed and organized jointly by the community in the implementation of health development to provide comfort and empower to community. Besides, it also facilitates the community in obtaining basic health services. There are some causes and reasons why they did not come to the posyandu, such as their knowledge is still low, the difficult location and geographical area, family’s support and lack of understanding of the benefit of posyandu activities.The purpose of this research is to determine the determinants that affect mothers participation in health service utilization toddlers in Posyandu of Kelurahan Dawuhan Kecamatan Situbondo Kabupaten Situbondo. The research design of this research was cross sectional research design. The statistical test used ChiSquare test, Spearman Rank Test and Logistic Regression test. The result showed that there was a relation between knowledge with the utilization of posyandu service (p = 0,000),a corelation between education with the utilization of posyandu service (p = 0,000), a corelation between work with the utilization of posyandu service (p = 0,010), a corelation between mother behavior with the utilization of posyandu service (p=0,020), there was no corelation between the distance of accessbility of posyandu with the utilization of posyandu service (p=0,109), there was no corelation between transportation with the utilization of posyandu service (p=0,363), there was corelation between family’s support with the utilization of posyandu service (p = 0.000), there was corelation between public figure with the utilization of posyandu service (p=0,003), there was a corelation between cadre’s support with the utilization of posyandu service (p = 0,000), and in this case, the most influence variable was knowledge with OR value is 0,397.
