Abstract
This study is motivated by the habit of consuming snacks in children which hard to eliminate. Indonesia National Agency of Drug and Food Control in 2013 states that 80% of students buy snacks in the school canteen or from the traders around the school. One way that can be done to avoid the risk of consuming unhealthy snacks is by increasing knowledge about healthy snacks through learning media. The method that used in this study is Research and Development (R&D) with ADDIE. The technique that used for taking subject is purposive sampling. The study was conducted in June 2019 in SDN Jember Lor 3 with 47 students as subjects. Healthy snacks quartet card validation is done by one media ecpert and one material expert. Media validation gone through 2 stages, while material validation gone through 3 stages. The final results of the media validator is 4.8 which categorized as ‘very good’, the final results of the material validator is 4.4 which categorized as ‘very good’, and the average assessment of student acceptance has 9.6 which categorized as ‘decent’. In addition, there was an increase in students knowledge about healthy snacks between before and after given quartet cards which marked with a sig. value (0.08) < α (0.05).
