Abstract

The performance of medical record management at Pujer Bondowoso Public Health Center is still not going well. This condition is evident from the absence of Standard Operating Procedure related to the management of medical records, besides that Pujer Bondowoso Public Health Center also uses a numbering system and an alignment system that does not in accordance with medical record standards, numbering is adjusted to the initial alphabetical letters of the patient's name and aligned according to the area where the patient lives. This research aims to analyze the performance factors of medical record management at Pujer Bondowoso Public Health Center. This type of research was qualitative research. The data collection was taken through observation and interviews with 4 respondents consisted 3 medical record officers and the Head of Medical Record which was further evidenced by documentation. Determination of the main priority cause of problems was using CARL method (Capability, Accessibility, Readiness, Leverage). The CARL method was carried out by scoring. Determination of alternative solutions through discussion together with respondents. The result of this research shows that the main priority for the medical record management performance problem at Pujer Bondowoso Public Health Center is the absence of an SOP (Standard Operating Procedure) specifically related to the process of managing medical records, so that officers carried out work without appropriate guidelines. The recommended alternative solution to overcome this problem is to make SOP about managing medical record. As sugestion, Pujer Bondowoso Public Health Center should make SOP about medical record alignment systems, SOP about medical record numbering systems, SOP about medical record naming systems, SOP about implementing retention and annihilation, and SOP about taking and returning medical records systems.
