Abstract

The return of the medical record file is the activity of returning the medical record file to the medical record unit starting after the patient reaches the inpatient room and the medical record file must return 2x24 hours after the patient returns and must be 100% complete. This study aims to determine whether there is a relationship between nurse behavior and the delay in returning the medical record file. Based on interviews and observations made at the DKT Jember Hospital regarding the delay in returning the medical record file, the percentage of delay reached 41% of the 128 files. This research is a type of quantitative research with a cross sectional approach. The type of sample used is simple random sampling technique, testing using Chi square, a sample of 62 respondents consisting of nurses and files will be taken for each medical officer used as a sample. The results obtained from this study are all variables have a significant relationship, namely knowledge variable with sig value (p) 0,001, tenure sig value (p) 0,002 , indigo sig (p) 0,011 and work support with value sig (p) 0,048 means that there is a relationship of all variables because the value is <0.005. Suggestions can be given from the results of this study is to increase the knowledge back to nurses about compliance with file returns according to standard procedures that have been applied at the DKT Jember Hospital so that the medical record file returns on time, during work officers need to be rewarded or rewarded for providing the best service , it needs to be given a warning if there is negligence in returning the inpatient medical record file, the quality of work needs to be improved again by prioritizing work support from fellow co-workers to give rise to morale and a sense of responsibility.
