Abstract

In Multimedia Department of SMK Al-Qodiri Jember, the student also get English as the subject Presented in the class. Unfortunately, based on the interview with an english teacher that have been conducted by the writer, the media that provided in the class was very limited to support the teaching learning English. The teacher only used practice book or LKS. This condition made the teacher difficult to build an interesting atmosfere for the students. In fact the teacher admit that he needed an additional media to support his English class. Based on the facts above, the writer suggested to the teacher to help him to make an interesting additional media in the form of video. The video was choosen because this media provided audio visual perfomance that could attract the students followed the teaching learning process anthusiasly. In making the English learning media, the writer needed several materials to be put in this video. It presented about short conversation, some selected vocabularies and expressions that taken from material of practice book or LKS, then it also completed with English subtitle. The duration of English learning media is 09.00 minutes and showed the complete information which consist of opening, content and closing. This English learning media completed with a picture, video, back sound music and dubbing, then it was imported into CD (Compact Disc) form. The final project of making this learning media was conducted at SMK Al-Qodiri Jember. It was located at Jalan Manggar No.139 A Gebang-Patrang, Kabupaten Jember. In making this product of final project, the writer needed to conduct interview, observation, documentation and audio-visual material in Multimedia Department of SMK Al-Qodiri Jember. In addition, the writer also needed to make the procedures of making learning media from preproduction, production and postproduction. After making this English Learning Media, the writer corrected the result of collecting data from interview, observation, documentation and audio-visual material. Thus, the writer completed the advices and suggestions from each result of collecting data to make clear information from institution and supervisor of this final project in order can produce fine product, then it can be learned to the students. Besides, the writer also provided the process result of making learning media from preproduction, production and postproduction. In preproduction, it discussed about determining the idea, preparing media of equipment list shooting and preparing of media video material. In production, it discussed about the concept of learning media from opening, contents and closing. So, the writer explained the story when making this product. In postproduction, it explained about editing, revising and finishing of English Learning Media. When making this English learning media, the writer got some problems about shooting, dubbing and editing. Besides, the writer did not understand about making a product in the form of video. Fortunately, the writer could learn about shooting, dubbing and editing from the cameramen. Hopefully, this result of this video could be used as main learning media to produce the excellences of Multimedia Department of SMK Al-Qodiri Jember.
