A treatment with nontherapy of pharmacology by the provision of cocoa powder (Theobroma cacao l) as blood glucose control. The purposed of this research was to know the effect of the cocoa powder (Theobroma cacao l) on random blood glucose levels in Sprague Dawley rats diabetes mellitus type 2. This experimental study used design pretest and post test with control group. The sample collection randomization to 5 in the treatment group, namely the control group negative, positive control, P1, P2, and P3. The sample used the 15 male Sprague Dawley rats 2-3 months old, weight 200-300 grams, and healthy rats (active). The data that analyzed using One way annova and Pairet T Test. The result of paired T Test showing no significant difference between blood glucose levels neither before and after treatment (p > 0,05).
