Abstract

Nutritional status in childhood needs to get serious attention from parents, due to malnutrition in the present cause damage that can not be recovered. Lack of knowledge of mothers and the lack of information makes the mother does not know the nutritional needs, so the attitude of the mother who caused a negative impact on children. This study was conducted to determine the relationship of mother's knowledge about nutrition with nutritional status of infants. The research method is analytical observation with cross sectional approach. Subject as many as 216 children aged 1-5 years. A sampling technique that propotionate Random Sampling.Data analysis using Spearman's rank correlation test. The results showed that there is a significant correlation between knowledge (p = 0.009; r = 0.177) and attitude (p = 0.006; r = 0.187) on the nutritional status of children.
