Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of adding beluntas leaf extract (Pluchea indica L.) in drinking water to the physical quality of quail meat on pH values, water holding capacity and cooking losses. This research was conducted using a Completely Randomized Design (CRD) and Analysis of Variance (ANOVA) method, if there were significant differences it was continued with the Duncan Multiple Range Test (DMRT) using 200 Day Old Quail (DOQ) with 4 treatments in drinking water i.e. P0 (0%). P1 (0.3%), P2 (0.6%) and P3 (0.9%) The results of this study showed that administration in drinking water had no significant effect (P>0.05) on pH, water holding capacity and shrinkage ,cook.
