Abstract

this study aims to see the effect of giving synthetic zpt and to present plant growth promoting rhizobacteria to vanilla cuttings (vanilla planifolia andrews). the research was conducted at the crops field of the department of agricultural production, jember state polytechnic, conducted experimentally and used a factorial randomized block design (rbd) with 2 kinds of factors. the first factor is the zpt growtone concentration of 0 g / liter of air (g0), 15 g / liter of air (g1), 30 g / liter of air (g2) and 45 g / liter of air (g3). the second factor is without presenting pgpr (p0) and giving pgpr (p1). each combination was repeated 4 times, each treatment unit consisted of 5 cuttings so that 40 polybags were needed. then 160 polybags are needed. the observation parameters used were the proportion of live cuttings, shoot length, number of leaves, number of roots, plant wet weight, plant dry weight. the results showed that giving synthetic zpt had no effect on cuttings but giving pgpr had a significant effect on the proportion of live cuttings, number of leaves, shoot length, wet weight of cuttings, and number of roots of vanilla cuttings, the interaction between synthetic zpt and pgpr administration had no effect on vanilla cuttings.
