Abstract

Growth process, someone needs energy and micronutrients, especially in children - children. These nutrients are needed children - children to their brain development that will affect the development of the child. Factors that good nutritional status without offset by stimulation (stimulation) towards the development of children's children will not develop optimally. Age 1-3 years is the age of the most important and powerful in the growth and development of a child because at that age requires a high nutritional and including the age of a very active and continues to move and age malnutrition, therefore, the need for monitoring the nutritional status and administration optimal stimulation from the environment, especially the family. Type of research is cross sectional with a population of 184 children. Research conducted at the Work Area Rowo Indah subdistrict health center Ajung Jember on December 8, 2014 - January 15, 2015. In this study there was no significant correlation between nutritional status and development of children aged 1-3 years p = 0.393 and r = 0.192. There is a significant correlation between the stimulation and development of children aged 1-3 years, p = 0.000 and r = 0.817. Very influential stimulation is given to the development of children aged 1-3 years. In the statistical analysis showed that the stimulation has a significant correlation and the degree of correlation is very strong.
