Abstract

Learning outcome are used to determine the extent to which students can master the lessons that have been taught or learned. Results of learning outcome indicated by report card grades achieved by students in a certain period. Nutritional status is the state of health of a person's body caused by the ingestion, absorption and utilization of food nutrients. Energy, protein, and iron is a nutrient that is associated with nutritional status and learning outcome. The purpose of this research was to know the correlation of energy, protein, and iron consumption level to nutritional status and learning outcomes 10-12 years old student of state elementary school 1 in Sukosari Village, Sukowono District, Jember Regency. This research used cross sectional design with observational analytic method, with 86 students as samples taken with proportional stratified random sampling. Analysis of the data used Spearman correlation test. The results showed a normal nutritional status (52%), nutritional status is very less (25%), thin nutritional status (21%), nutritional status fat (1%) and nutritional status of obesity (1%). Results showed poor student learning outcomes (15%), the results of student learning enough (61%), and better student learning outcomes (24%). Result of statistical test shows negative correlation between nutritional status with energy consumption level (p = 0.110), protein (p = 0.390), and iron (p = 0.107). Result of statistical test shows negative correlation between learning outcomes with energy consumption level (p = 0.563), protein (p = 0.693), and iron (p = 0.785). Students age 10-12 years of state elementary school 1 in Sukosari Village, Sukowono District, Jember Regency eating habits consume foods that contain energy, protein, and iron. Raw foods contain these nutrients are rice, corn, potatoes, chicken, eggs, tuna, tempeh, tofu, spinach, beans, sprouts, cabbage, broccoli, cassava leaves, kale, banana, mango, papaya and milk.
