Abstract

The role of technology is the most important requirement for the service sector, including the Jemursari Islamic Hospital in Surabaya which utilizes technology in terms of online reservation services, which has an online registration application for Android-based hospital patients. In an application for services, the usability aspect is the most important aspect which is a direct liaison with users. Based on the usability evaluation conducted using the Quality in Use Integrated Measurement (QUIM) method, it shows that the application usability is currently still in the sufficient feasibility category. In addition, interviews were conducted with users, which currently do not meet user needs because there are deficiencies caused by the user interface. Therefore, it is necessary to design a user interface for the online registration application of RSI Jemursari. The method used for designing the user interface is the User Centered Design (UCD) method which is the reason the method was chosen so that the definition of needs is more accurate from system users so that it can produce a user interface that is in accordance with the experience and needs of the user. When the user interface design has been completed, an evaluation is carried out using the UX Metric QUIM which results show that the user interface recommendations have met the user’s needs, this can be seen in the percentage of the feasibility value obtained by 87% which means that it has met the very feasible category.
