Abstract

Madura cattle are one of the beef-producing livestock used to meet human animal protein requirements. One effort to support the productivity of Madura cattle is the application of feed processing technology in the form of tannin biscuits. This study aimed to determine the effect of tannin biscuit supplementation on the productivity of Madura cattle. The study employed a T-test with two treatments and four replications, namely P0 (forage feed) and P1 (forage feed supplemented with two pieces of tannin biscuits). The data obtained were analyzed using Microsoft Excel and IBM SPSS Statistics version 25. The observed parameters included feed consumption, average daily gain (ADG), and feed conversion ratio (FCR). The results showed that there was no significant effect (P>0.05) between P0 and P1 on the productivity of Madura cattle. In conclusion, the supplementation of tannin biscuits in Madura cattle feed had no significant effect on feed consumption, average daily gain (ADG), or feed conversion ratio (FCR). However, the administration of tannin biscuits (P1) tended to improve feed efficiency compared to the treatment without tannin biscuits (P0) in Madura cattle
