Abstract
The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of tannin biscuits on the performance of Cross Texel sheep. This research was conducted at at the Animal Husbandry Department Feed Laboratory Technlogy State of Polytechnic Jember in the production of tannin biscuits and PT Bgios Farm using 10 Cross Texel rams aged 5-6 months. The treatments carried out were P0 (cornebon silage and concentrate) and P1 (cornebon silage and concentrate with the addition of tannin biscuits) with 5 replicates. The method used is by collecting primary data in the form of direct observation and making daily recording records. Parameters observed included feed consumption, daily body weight gain (PBBH), and Feed Conversion Ratio (FCR). The data obtained were then analyzed using the Independent T-test. Based on the results of the research conducted, the daily body weight gain (PBBH) of Cross Texel sheep did not show significant differences, namely P0 0.090 g/head/day and P1 0.110 g/head/day, but the consumption value and Feed Conversion Ratio (FCR) in the P1 treatment showed potential with better results than the P0 treatment. It can be concluded that the addition of tannin biscuits to feed has no effect on the growth performance of Cross Texel sheep
