Abstract

This final project focused on developing an Interactive CD for basic one student of Winda’s English Course to learn English grammar. The purpose of conducting this project was to develop an Interactive CD for basic one of Winda’s English Course as a media in teaching learning process. In designing the interactive CD, the writer applied his knowledge about pronunciation, computer, material development and instructional design media subjects that we have got in English Study Program Politeknik Negeri Jember. In this project, I used ADDIE as the model of developing the media that consists of Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation and Evaluation. The result of this project was an interactive CD for young learners. The contents of the interactive CD were a-an, plural form, personal pronouns, the verb to be, this-these-those, there is-there are, have got, possessives, can, imperative, present continuous, simple present, question words, prepositions of places , prepositions of time, how many-how much, some – any. I did an interview with Bu Winda as the owner of Winda’s English Course. I observed during teaching learning process in Winda’s English Course to know the situation. Hence, I concluded that the teaching materials should be attractive, colorful pictures, simple, easily understood by the students, each materials should have the way of pronouncing the words in English and should have exercise part. For the suggestion, the teacher who is teaching young learners should be able to know the suitable materials and the characteristic of the students. I strongly hope that this interactive CD will be very useful for the students and English Teacher of Winda’s English Course, Talangsari, Jember as our target.
