Abstract
This study aims to determine the effect of giving selenium yeast as a feed supplement on the blood profile of layer phase laying quails. This research was conducted from May to June 2023 in Antirogo Village, Sumbersari District, Jember Regency. The material for this research was laying quail with a Peksi strain of 288 tails. This study used a completely randomized design (RAL) which consisted of 4 treatments and 6 replications. P0 (0 g/kg), P1 (0,5 g/kg), P2 (1 g/kg), P3 (1,5 g/kg). The data obtained were analyzed using Analysis of Variant (ANOVA). If the data shows significantly different results (P <0.05) then proceed with the Least Significant Difference Test (BNT). Parameters observed were Hemoglobin g/dl, Erythrocytes million/µl, Hematocrit %, MCV (Mean Cospuscular Volume) fl, MCH (Mean Cospuscular Hemoglobin) Pg, MCHC (Mean Cospuscular Hemoglobin Concentration) g/dl, Leukocytes 103/mm3, Neutrophils %, Lymphocytes %, Monocytes %, Platelets µl. Based on the analysis shows that the provision of selenium yeast in the feed has no significant effect on the amount Hemoglobin g/dl, Erythrocytes million/µl, Hematocrit %, MCV (Mean Cospuscular Volume) fl, MCH (Mean Cospuscular Hemoglobin) Pg, MCHC (Mean Cospuscular Hemoglobin Concentration) g/dl, Leukocytes 103/mm3, Neutrophils %, Lymphocytes %, Monocytes %, Platelets µl this is because the provision of selenium yeast in feed does not affect metabolism in laying quails.
