Abstract

Hypertension education using video can be an alternative health promotion effort to increase knowledge related to hypertension information. This study aims to develop good educational video media for people with hypertension. This type of research is Research and Development or abbreviated (R&D). Making hypertension education video media using the ADDIE method, which consists of; (1) Analyze, (2) Design, (3) Development, (4) Implementation and (5) Evaluation. The population in this study were hypertension sufferers at the Sumbersari Jember Health Center. Data collection uses a material expert validation questionnaire, a media expert validation questionnaire, and a media acceptability test questionnaire. Retrieval of data using interviews and questionnaires. The results of the “hypertension education video” (VEDSI) research obtained a score of 90 with the interpretation of "Very Good" in the material expert validation test, then obtained a value of 93.75 with the interpretation of "Very Good" in the validation test by media experts, and obtained a value of 90,68 with the interpretation of "Very Good" in the acceptability test for 15 research subjects. The conclusion namely hypertension education videos (VEDSI) is feasible to use and declared acceptable as hypertension education media.
