Abstract

Dyslipidemia is a lipid metabolism disorder characterized by an increase in total cholesterol, triglyceride levels, low density lipoprotein (LDL), and decreased levels of high density lipoprotein (HDL). Non-pharmacological therapy given is black soybean juice and green grass jelly extract containing antioxidant flavonoids. The purpose of this study was to determined the effectiveness of black soybean juice and green grass jelly extract on LDL and HDL levels in dyslipidemic white rats. This type of research was experimental research with Pretest-Posttest with Control Group Design. The samples used were 25 Wistar strain rats, male sex, 2-3 months old, and body weight 150-250 grams. Samples were taken by random sampling and divided into five groups. The negative control group (K-) was given a standard diet, positive control (K +) was given a high-fat diet, treatment 1 (P1) was given a high-fat diet + black soybean juice 5.2 ml /150 grams BB rat, treatment 2 (P2) was given high-fat diet + grass jelly leaves extract 4.8 ml /150 grams BW, and treatment 3 (P3) was given a high-fat diet + black soybean juice with the addition of green grass jelly extract 4.8 ml /150 grams BB rats. LDL and HDL levels were analyzed using the CHOD-PAP method. The One Way Anova test results are LDL (p=0.077) and HDL (p=0.068) while the LDL post test results (p=0.062) and HDL (p=0.062). One Way Anova test results difference in LDL and HDL levels (p = 0,000). There is a difference in the difference between LDL and HDL levels in treatment group 1 (P1) with treatment 3 (P3) and there is no difference between treatment 2 (P2) with treatment 1 (P2) and treatment 3 (P3). Reduce LDL levels and increase the highest HDL levels given to the advisory group 3 (P3) who were given black soybean juice with the addition of green grass jelly extract. The decrease in LDL and the increase in HDL are caused by changes in diet and the intervention of black soybean juice and green grass jellyextract.
