Abstract

One way of assessing the quality of the students is to look at student achievement (Wasis, 2011). According Setiawati et al., (2002), there are two factors that play a role in learning outcomes, namely intellectual intelligence (IQ) and emotional intelligence (EQ). Dietary habit affect the determination of the amount of food needs and selection of materials that can produce a good nutrition status (Sulistyoningsih, 2010). Research purposes to determine the relationship and differences between emotional intelligence, dietary habit and nutrition status with learning achievement in SMPN 01 and SMPN 01 Wringin Bondowoso. This study design using descriptive survey method with cross sectional approach. The number of samples taken as many as 120 people. Sampling technique used Simple Random Sampling. Research conducted at SMPN 01 and SMPN 01 Bondowoso Wringin on August 1st 2015 until 16th September 2015. Conclusions on Spearman test, there is no relationship between emotional intelligence and learning achievement, and nutrition status and learning achievement of students at SMPN 01 and SMPN 01 Bondowoso Wringin , There is a relationship between dietary habit and learning achievement of students of SMPN 01 Bondowoso, especially the staple dietary habit, while at SMPN 1 Wringin there is no relationship between dietary habit and learning achievement. In the Independent T-test test there were no differences in emotional intelligence and dietary habit among students of SMPN 01 and SMPN 01 Wringin Bondowoso. While there are differences in nutrition status and learning achievement among students of SMPN 01 and SMPN 01 Wringin Bondowoso.
