Abstract

Mung bean has a high potential to be developed, because it has advantages such as: a) more drought resistance, b) fewer pests and diseases, c) can be harvested at the age of 55-60 days, d) can be planted on less fertile soil, and e) the cultivation method is easy. This study aims to increase the growth and production of mung bean seeds by treatment with a dose of cow manure and straw mulch weight. This research was conducted at IP2TP Genteng Banyuwangi, Jalan Genteng - Gambiran, Kec. Genteng, Kab. Banyuwangi 08 October 2020 – 05 January 2021. The experimental design used was a Factorial Randomized Block Design (RAK) with two factors. Each factor consists of 3 and 3 levels which are repeated 3 times. The first factor is the dose of manure consisting of 0 tons/ha (K0), 5 tons/ha (K1), and 7.5 tons/ha (K2). The second factor is the weight of straw mulch which consists of (J1) 3 tons/Ha, (J2) 6 tons/Ha, (J3) 9 tons/Ha. Data were analyzed using the F test (ANOVA) and further test (BNT) with an error rate of 5%. The results showed that the dose of manure 5 tons/ha (K1) was significantly different in the observed parameters of plant height (16.38 cm), number of branches (4.47 branches) and number of pods (21.89 pods). The treatment of straw mulch weight of 6 tons/Ha (J2) gave a significant effect on the parameters of plant height (16.41cm). The interaction of manure dose and straw mulch weight gave no significant effect on all observation parameters. Keywords: Green Beans, Increased Seed Production, Manure, Straw Mulch
