Abstract

Making a Promotional Video of Jember Green Herbalist, Riza Umami, F31181689, 2021, 28 pages, English Study Program, Politeknik Negeri Jember, Nanik Mariyati, S.Pd.,M.Pd (Supervisor). This is the report of the final project entitled “Making a Promotional Video of Jember Green Herbalist”. The writer made this project because Jember Green Herbalist is in need of promotional media such as media in the form of video to further promote Jember Green Herbalist products. So therefore, the writer decided to help the owner in promoting the products of Jember Green Herbalist by making a promotional media in the form of video. In making the video entitled “Jember Green Herbalist”, the video presented into three parts. Those are opening, body and closing. In the opening the writer showed the situation of Jember city and continued by showing the female lead who was walking to the location of Jember Green Herbalist. In the body, the writer showed the products of Jember Green Herbalist and all of the activities there such as interviewed with the owner, product manufacturing process and packaging process. And in the closing, the writer showed the testimonial from the customer and a statement to persuade the customers to buy the products of Jember Green Herbalist. The writer used a cinematic video to make the video more interesting. In supporting data, the writer did an interview, observation, documentation and audiovisual material to complete the data that was needed for this final project. The promotional video entitled “Jember Green Herbalist” was adapted from the procedures of Maryati and Purnama (2013). The procedures are Pre-Production, Production and Post-Production. In the Pre-Production, it consists of storyboard and scripting. In the Production, it consist of shooting process. And the last is PostProduction, it consists capturing, video editing process, rendering and burning disk. In conducting this final project, the writer made a promotional video of Jember Green Herbalist, the writer found some difficulties and challenges while making the product. The first is the writer could not edit a slow motion on Adobe Premiere ix Pro CC 2015 software so that the writer tried to learn how to do the slow motion on YouTube. The second is the writer had to learn how to make interesting content by making a cinematic scene and making a good or interesting script so that the viewers or the customers can be more interested in watching the video. The third is the writer had a difficulties in translating the script from Bahasa Indonesia to English, the writer also had difficulty in arranging the sentence, so that the writer tried consulted it to the supervisor of the writer and also checked it in a Grammarly to find the correct sentence and also the grammatical errors. Beside, the writer can learn a lot from every difficulty and also get advantages such as, the writer got some knowledge about herbal drinks, improve editing skills and improve the ability in English
