Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of giving goat urine with various different concentrations on the growth of pepper cuttings (Piper nigrum L.). This research was conducted in Jalinan Hamlet, Harjomulyo Village, Silo District, Jember from December 2020 to February 2021. This study used a Randomized Block Design (RAK) with 6 treatment levels and 4 replications with different concentrations of goat urine watering treatment, namely A0 = 0 % (control), A1= 3% concentration, A2 = 6% concentration, A3 = 9% concentration, A4 = 12% concentration and A5 = 15% concentration. Observational data were analyzed by analysis of variance/anova using the F test at a confidence level of 5% and 1% to determine whether there was an effect of the treatment carried out. If there is an effect of the treatment, then proceed with the polynomial contrast test. Based on the results of the study, watering goat urine with a concentration of 15% showed a significantly different effect on the growth of pepper cuttings (Piper nigrum L.) on the number of roots at 12 WAP. No significant effect on the character of shoot length, number of internodes, shoot diameter, number of leaves, wet weight (gr), dry weight (gr). Significantly different effect on the location of the pepper segment used, namely the 5th segment in the 4th block on the parameters of the number of segments and the number of leaves on pepper cuttings aged 12 WAP.
