Abstract

Mustard is a type of vegetable that is very popular with the public. Besides having a good taste, mustard greens also have many health benefits. On the other hand, mustard yields have not met the needs and demands of the community because the planting area is getting narrower and the productivity of the mustard plant is still relatively low. For now, a very important role in the cultivation of mustard plants is the use of mulch. The application of this type of mulch and concentration of growmore fertilizer is expected to increase the yield and quality of mustard seeds. This research was conducted from October to January 2021 in the experimental land owned by PT. Wira Agro Nusantara Sejahtera, Jl. Papaya, Pulosari Village, Pare District, Kediri Regency. The experimental design used was a factorial randomized block design with 2 factors. Each factor consists of 3 levels which are repeated 3 times. The first factor is the use of no mulch (M0), the use of silver white plastic mulch (M1), the use of straw mulch (M2). The second factor is the concentration of Growmore 20-20-20 fertilizer with various concentrations of 2 gr/L (P1), 2.5 gr/L (P2), 3 gr/L (P3). Data analysis used the f test formula (ANOVA) and further test used Duncan Multiple Range Test (DMRT) with an error rate of 5%. The results showed that the application of mulch type had a very significant effect on the parameters of plant height, number of leaves, leaf width, number of pods per bunch, seed weight per plot and significantly affected leaf length parameters. While the concentration of Growmore fertilizer had a very significant effect on the parameters of plant height, number of leaves, leaf length, seed weight every plot and significantly affected the parameters of leaf width and number of pods per bunch. The interaction of mulch application and growmore fertilizer had a significant effect on seed weight every plots.
