Abstract

Selection of college majors is very crucial so it needs to be rethought properly. So that every student is encouraged to choose college majors carefully and carefully based on their academic potential, interests and talents. Guidance for student majors carried out by counseling guidance in schools is still considered unimportant and also there are still many students who have not been mentored due to the large number of students and the guidance process still uses manual methods. Based on these problems, it is necessary to make a decision support system and optimization of guidance using the Analytical Hierarchy Process method to find out the percentage of recommendations for the right college major so that students can be helped and can support their decisions based on their academic potential, interests and talents. Then use the Naive Bayes method to determine the probability of being accepted and not accepted in the college major chosen by the student
