Abstract
The return of inpatient medical record files is one of the factors that support the processing of medical record files. However, there is still often a return of inpatient medical record files that have not been up to the standard that has been set, that is a maximum return 2x24 hours after the patient returns home. Based on the results of the literature study, delays still often occur, including in the Police and TNI Hospital Semarang with a percentage of 95.10% and in the X Bogor Hospital with a percentage of 65.54%. The purpose of this study was to analyze the factors causing the delay in returning inpatient medical record files at the hospital. Article searches using the Google Scholar database, Garuda Portal, Crossref, and Jember State Polytechnic E-library. The results of this study are factors that cause delays in returning inpatient medical record files including unknowledgeable officer, lack of supporting facilities, unimplemented SOP socialization, and incomplete patient medical record. Moreover, there is no motivation in the form of rewards or punishment. Priority Factor is one of the reason why many inpatient medical record are delay in returning. On the other hand, this factor means incompleteness in filling out the inpatient medical record file by nurse or doctor concerned.
