Abstract

Making a Booklet as Promotional Media of Sanggar Kartika Budaya, Akbar Zulfikar Zakariya, NIM F31170180, 2021, 62 pages, English Study Program, Politeknik Negeri Jember, Agus Setia Budi, S.Pd. M.Pd (Supervisor). This is the report of the final project entitled “Making Booklet as a Promotional Media of Sanggar Kartika Budaya”. The project was made because Sanggar Kartika Budaya needs a promotional media that is easy to made and brought, and give the complete information also. Because of that, I as the writer helped the owner of Sanggar Kartika Budaya by making a promotional booklet for Sanggar Kartika Budaya. In making this final project, the writer collected the data to complete final project. The writer did interview, observation, documents, and audio-visual material. The title of the booklet is “Kartika Budaya Art Studio”. The booklet of Sanggar Kartika Budaya consisted of three parts of the booklet. They are opening, content, and closing. The first part of this booklet about opening, there is information about Sanggar Kartika Budaya in general. The second part of the booklet about the content provided about Kartika Budaya in Specific. The last part is closing that provided information. This booklet was written in bilingual, Bahasa Indonesia and English. The design of booklet is landscape. It was edited and designed by Corel Draw. The writer adapted five procedures from Irawati (2015) in Webyansyah (2018) they are prewriting, drafting, proofreading, revising and publishing. The writer got some difficulties, especially when collecting the idea to make the script. The writer does not have a capable skill in graphic design, so the writer hiring an editor. The writer needed to read a lot to get ideas to write the script. Furthermore the writer also had struggle in translating the script. For those difficulties that the writer had been through, hopefully the product can be used optimally and beneficially by Kartika Budaya.
