Abstract

This final project entitled “Developing Vocabulary Tutorial Animation Video for the First Semester Students of English Study Program Politeknik Negeri Jember (Learning Vocabulary through Creativity)” is dedicated to the first semester students of English Study Program, Politeknik Negeri Jember. This project was made because I had found that teaching – learning process of Vocabulary subject only used student’s workbook (BKPM), PowerPoint media, some pictures and dictionary. There was no additional media to support the students in mastering vocabulary. Therefore, I created an interesting media in the form of tutorial animation video for teaching- learning process in vocabulary class. In this case, I focused on the first chapter of video, which is learning vocabulary through creativity. The content of the video consist of the opening, tutorial materials, exercises, and closing. The students could know the new words from the pictures and they could make the sentences based on the list of words. The writer designed the material that was completed with the instructions in using creativity technique and it was played by animation character and my voice which are shown at the same time. I got a good response from the students of English Study Program Politeknik Negeri Jember. They felt interested to use my product in learning process of vocabulary. Moreover, I could apply my skill such as writing, speaking and computer. I suggest to the students of English Study Program to make tutorial animation video for other subject.
