Abstract

The aim of this research is to know the strength of sprouted seeds to the environment that is suboptimum and storability vigor on squash seed (Luffa acutangula). This research was done for three months from September to November 2015 at PT. East West Seed Indonesia Jember Laboratory. This research used a factorial completely randomized design (CRD) with two factors and repeated 3 times. The first factor was Lot Seed consists of 7 Lot. And the second factor was temperature stress consists of 4 levels, namely: (C1) 0 hours, (C2) 24 hours, (C3) 48 hours, and (C4) 72 hours. The data was analyzed by using ANOVA and then tested further by using DMRT level of 5%. The result of this research was the treatment of Lot seed showed highly significant effect (**) to all parameters that were observed. Parameter stress that was given, showed no significant result (ns) on the parameters of germination and highly significant effect (**) at the Speed of Growth (KCT) and Vigor Index.
