Abstract

This Internship Program report focused on being a promotion staff at Culture and Tourism Department of East Java Province. Culture and Tourism Department of East Java Province as the location of my internship program because this department has responsibility to develop, manage, and promote the tourist attraction in East Java that has potential in tourism sector. I conducted my internship program during three months started from March-May. I choose Culture and Tourism Department of East Java Province as my internship program place because this institution have responsibility to develop tourism in East Java which is have opportunity to give me the real experience in developing tourism. During this internship program I got real experience in facing the real situation in a workplace. The activities that I have done during the internship program were Creating the content of “Dwi-Bulanan” Tourism Calendar, Designing banner of 17th Majapahit Travel Fair, Collecting pictures of primary tourist attractions from the album, being a surveyor of Passenger Exit Survey 2016, Designing a welcoming banner for NTB direct Promotion, and being a surveyor in Survey Wisatawan Nusantara 2016. I felt nervous when the first time I became the surveyor but my supervisor advised me to be polite and handle the foreign tourist kindly, everything will running well. By having the internship program activity, I conclude that Culture and Tourism Department of East Java Province is an appropriate institution to conduct the internship program of students especially in tourism sector.
