Abstract

Biobriquette is briquette which is made from a wide range of biological material or biomass, such as wood, twigs, leaves, grass, straw, or other agricultural wastarste. Biobriquette without used by the pirolisis process, because of its size is too small, such as sawdust. Sawdust which is commonly used to make biobriquette is sengon wood sawdust with the adhesive addition of starch. The problem is not research that uses natural glue material, such as glue of leucaena leaves flour. The purpose of this study is to investigate the characteristics of biobriquette from sengon wood sawdust using glue of lamtoro leaves flour. The research result showed that biobriquette with glue of lamtoro leaves flour was still included into SNI standart, such as moisture content and pressure test were according into standart (SNI 1-6235-2000). The best composition was AB2 (20 gram sengon wood sawdust and 10 gram glue of lamtoro leaves flour) The character was approaching SNI standart parameters, which moisture content 4,41%, density test 0,63%, ash content 6,1%, pressure test 0,61 kg/cm3 and calories value was approaching SNI standart parameters, is equal to 4261,343 cal/gram
