Abstract

Hydroelectricity is one of the renewable electric energy that environmentally friendly. The main component of hydroelectricity are the turbines and generator. Small-scale hydropower can also be applied on a flat river flow without a potential energy of the water, therefore it can be using a propeller turbine. The angular difference of turbine blades affect the size of the energy produced and the efficiency achieved, This research is to design manufacturing and testing of turbine propeller on irrigation canals, and evaluated about the effect of changing the angle of the blade against the generated power and efficiency of the turbine. Variables angle of turbine blades is 15 0 , 30 0 , and 45 0 . Turbines achieve highest efficiency when the turbine blades set on the corner of 300 and the highest efficiency can be achieved is 29%. At the time of the turbine achieved the highest efficiency, generatedof power is 17.977 watts
