Abstract

Making Table Manner for International Business People (Etiquette) is the title of this final project. This project was done based on data collecting methods that the writer conducted in Safari Hotel and Restaurant. Safari Hotel and Restaurant did not have sufficient materials except guidebook to conduct table manner event. The guidebook itself only presented some written text and black and white pictures. Considering those problems, the writer intended to make more interesting of table manner to help Safari Hotel and Restaurant in conducting table manner event in the form of video. By using video Safari Hotel and Restaurant can provide appropriate media to teach table manner. The writer got some difficult to cooperate with hotel around Jember. At the end, Safari Hotel and Restaurant is the one who could help and give permission to the writer for conducting table manner of this final project and also the place to make table manner video. This report described all of the process where the writer made table manner video for international business people with the concentration on etiquette. In this video consist of pose, managing the napkin, how to hold utensil, and how to eat correctly. The writer adapted the writer from Lyver (2001) and added three steps to make this procedure more perfect for making this video. The writer edited the video by using Camtasia Studio and Movie Maker. As the result, the writer upload table manner video to YouTube. The writer also distributed this video to English Program, Politeknik Negeri Jember and Safari Hotel and Restaurant. Hopefuly this video can be beneficial for Safari Hotel and Restaurnat, international business people and peopple who want to learn about table manner.
