Abstract

This research aims to determine the influence of various branch trimmings and the use of different types of mulch on the production and quality of cucumber seeds (Cucumis sativus L). This research was conducted in August – November 2019 in seed production land and laboratory pt. Wira Agro Nusantara Sejahtera, Pulosari Village, Pare District, Kediri Regency. The design used in this study is a factorial Randomized Complete Block Design (RCBD) and repeated 3 times. The results of the analysis showed that the mulch factor (M) gives the best results on some parameters where (M1) silver white mulch provides the best value, while the trimming treatment (P) gives a very noticeable effect on the weight parameters of the dry seed sample and trimming 5 branches (P2) gives the average best value. There is an intercation between treatments (P*M) on the weight parameters of the sampled dried seed. Key words : Cucumber Production, Branch Trimming, Mulch Type
