Abstract
One of the factors that result in decreased production of melons including the lack of availability of quality melon seeds, so that the availability of quality seed needs to be pursued through a variety of crops and fruit penelitian.Penjarangan dose of potassium is one form of research in order to increase the production of melon plants to meet market demand. The research was held for five months from August 2015 to January 2016. This research was carried out at the green house of Sukorambi, Jember regency with 450 until 600 asl. This research used Complete Random Block Design that consisted of 9 combinations of treatment. First factor is combination thinning fruit each plant (J) which consisted of 1 fruit each plant (J1), ratio 2 fruits each plant (J2), and ratio 3 fruits each plant (J3). Second factor is potassium fertilizer dose (K) which consisted of ratio 350 kg/ha (K1), 500 kg/ha (K2), and 650 kg/ha (K3). The results showed that the number of fruit crops (J) has demonstrated significant results against the weight of the fruit and the number of filled seeds . whereas the dose of potassium (K) has demonstrated significant results against the girth and the number of filled seeds
