Abstract
One of methods to increase the seed productivity and quality of watermelon (Citrullus vulgaris L.) are using strain to produce a lot of seeds and apply the right of basic fertilizer dose. This research was held for 4 months, starting on June 2015 until October 2015 at field PT. Benih Citra Asia, Rawasari village, Sumber Jambe, Jember. The research was conducted using Strip Plot Design with 2 factors and 3 replications. The first factor is some of watermelon strain in four stages, which are G1 (S17), G2 (S18), G3 (S20), G4 (S21). The second factor is Sp-36 Basic Fertilizer in five stages, which are P0 (100 gram), P1 (125 gram), P2 (150 gram), P3 (175 gram), P4 (200 gram).using of G3 (S20) watermelon strain showed a high significant influence on the filled out seeds quantity, ,the weight seed of 1000 and germination. G1 (S17) watermelon strain showed a high significant affect on percentage of white seed and percentage of floating seed. apply of P4 (200 gram) Sp-36 basic fertilizer dose showed a high significant affect on the filled out seeds weight.The interaction between some of watermelon strain and Sp-36 basic fertilizer dose giving non significant effect on all parameters of observation.
