Abstract

This research had a purpose to know the result of brushing method application to quality increase of some tomato seed lots (Lycopersicum esculentum Mill). This research was held for 3 months from November 2015 until January 2016. All activities was held at East West Seed Jember Laboratory. This research was conducted by factorial randomized complete design (RAL). The first factor was brushing that was consisted of 2 levels : (B1) Brushing seed and (B2) without Brushing, and the second factor was seed lot that was consisted of 10 levels. So there were 20 treatment combinations and 3 replications. The data was analyzed by using ANOVA and it will be tested by Deviation Standart Test. The research result showed that brushing treatment gave very significant effect to germination equality, seed germination speed and electric conductibility, while there was not significant effect to germination capacity. To the seed lot treatment gave very significant effect to all parameters.
