Abstract

Research The Effect of Plant Space on Growth and Production of Corn SomeVariety (Zea mays, L.) was for three months started from November 2015- Februari 2016. The research was made in the garden on state Politechnic of Jember in Tegal Gede village on Jember-Jawa Timur. This research was used a Randomized Complete Block Design (RAK) factorial. There are two factors in this research, First factor is the variety that includes Bisma Variety (V1) and Pertiwi 3 Variety (V2). Second factor is the Plant Space that includes Plant Space in 70 cm x 20 cm (M0), Plant Space in 100 cm x 10 cm (M1), and Plant Space in 80 cm x 10 cm (M2). Observational list on each parameter was analyzed by F test (ANOVA) and further test more BNT with level 1% and 5%. The results showed the variety very significant on height plant in 28 HST, weight cob in sample, and length cob in sample. Significant effect on dry weight of loss corn in sample. However, wasn’t significant in the height plant 14 HST, 34 HST, weight cob corn in plot, diameter cob corn in sample, wet weight of loss corn in sample, wet weight of loss corn in plot, dry weight of loss corn in plot, weight of 100 seeds. Plant Space very significant on weight cob corn in sample, weight cob corn in plot, diameter cob corn in sample, wet weight of loss corn in plot, dry weight of loss corn in plot. Significant effect height plant in 28 HST and 34 HST, wet of weight loss corn in sample. But, wasn’t significant the height plant in 14 HST, length cob corn in sample, weight of 100 seeds. The interaction Variety and Plant Space wasn’t significant on all parameters of growth and corn production (Zea mays, L.).
