Abstract

As an international language, English is an important role in the education field. English is used as the instruction language in the international education field. There are many books or journal that only published in English. Weijen (2012) stated that there are around 80% of the journals registered in Scopus has published in English. In reality, not all students can understand English very well especially students in a country that doesn't use English in daily life. Subekti (2018) stated that students can’t understand English very well because they don’t use English in their daily life. Because of this problem, they need to translate books, journals etc. into the language that they can understand. Mr. Suluh as the lecturer of Animal Husbandry used a book entitled "Quality Assurance for Animal Feed Analysis Laboratories" as a teaching-learning process. The book is written in English that published in another country. Then, Mr. Suluh said that most of Animal Husbandry Department students in his class can’t understand the content of the book. So, he asks the English Study Program student to translate this book into Indonesian version to facilitate the teaching and learning process in the Animal Husbandry Department. Based on the problem, the writer chooses and continue to translate this book from English into Indonesian to the facilitated teaching-learning process in the Animal Husbandry Department. Therefore, the writer chooses a project to translate a book entitled "Quality Assurance for Animal Feed Analysis Laboratories" for the Animal Husbandry Department page 162 until 178. ix To finish this project, the writer used the translation process by Nida and Taber (1969) which cover analysis, transferring, and restructuring. The writer used the translation procedure by Vinay and Darbelnet (1995) which cover adaptation, literal translation, transposition, borrowing, calque, modulation, and equivalence. By finishing this final project, the writer has some suggestion for the students and lecturer of Animal Husbandary Department, for the students of English Study Program, also for the English Study Program itself. For the students and lecturer of Animal Husbandary Department, they can use the result of this project in their lecturing and practicum class. For the students of English Study Program, the writer will advise the next student of this study program to have a translation project. It makes you know how to translate using the right processes and procedures by the expert. For the English Study Program itself, the writer suggests giving many references such as books, journals, or any article for students in the reading corner. So, they will be able to learn and gain knowledge to support them in completing their Final Project especially in translation field
