Abstract

Rumah Sakit Umum Kaliwates is categorized as type C hospital. It is a private hospital which belongs to PTPN XII. Medical record staffs of Rumah Sakit Umum Kaliwates face a hard time in doing retention medical record files since there are plenty of files saved in filling room. Approximately 24.000 medical record files of both new and old patients during a year are kept there. Therefore, to find inactive medical record files wastes much time which takes more or less 5 minutes only to find one medical record file. The purpose of this research is to make medical record file electronic retention scheduling system application of inactive patients in Rumah Sakit Umum Kaliwates. This is classified as qualitative research using waterfall model system design method. Stages in this kind of model are requirements definition, system and software design, Implementation and unit testing, and Integration and system testing. Data collection involves interview, observation, and documentation. The result of the research is the medical record file electronic retention scheduling system application of inactive patients in Rumah Sakit Umum Kaliwates. This application is expected to help the staffs in organizing the data and finding inactive patients’ medical record files in Kaliwates General Hospital easily. The application can be developed more by integrating the application to listing information system.
