Abstract

Testing of yield is the final stage of plant breeding programs. On testing was conducted election or selection against homozygous superior strains have been produced. The goal is to choose one or several strains of the best that can be released as new varieties.This research aimed to compare the productivity and quality of potential lines which are tested with comparator varieties also find out whether the potential lines has a better production and a higher quality of varieties . Research was conducted at Polytechnic State of Jember in September to November 2015.Data analysis that applied to this research is Paired T Test Two Sample For Means. Factors which consists of 6 treatments and replicated 4 times, namely: G1 (KP 1302), G2 (1303), G3 (1304), G4 (KP Parade), G5 (KP Mutiara), G6 (KP Setuju).the results of the research from several parameters that observed showed that potential lines were not significantly different against comparator varietis on plant heighparamter, harvesting frequency, flowering age, harvesting age for consumption, seed harvesting and seed number. Strains that tested has a better quality on the parameters of weight 100 grains, speed of growth, pods weight per plant, pod length per plant, productivity per hectare and on germination test.
