Abstract

Tourism is one of the biggest sectors that contribute to the national economy of Indonesia. One of the regions that has good tourism potentials is Banyuwangi. Banyuwangi has tourism potentials that offer tourists with many natural and cultural objects including those related to the life in the local society. The latter is named tourism village. Banyuwangi has some tourism villages one of them is Kampong Wisata Temenggungan (Kawitan). Kawitan provided historical, art cultural, culinary tourism and festival. Eventhough has potential tourism object, Kawitan does not have promotional media to promote its potentials. Kawitan needs promotional media that can provide the whole information of tourism objects there. Therefore, I made tourism guidebook to help Kawitan provides complete information of tourism objects there. This guidebook containts 8 part those are; the first is the history of Kawitan, the second is historical tourism objects, third is spiritual tourism object, fourth is traditional foods, fifth is festival at Kawitan, sisxth is facilities, seventh access and the last is map of Kawitan. The result of this final project is a bilingual tourism guidebook that uses Bahasa Indonesia and English version. The language style of this guidebook is use informative, concise and formal language. In making tourism guidebook, I made the design by myself by coreldraw X4. During making this guidebook, I found difficulty in designing the guidebook. I hired an editor to design my guidebook buthe left this job. In order to solve that problem, I read some articles and watched some videos about Coreldraw X4. So I designed this guidebook by myself by Coreldraw X4 started from making the layout until making the cover.
